The curator thanks the artists. I thank you. Perhaps more than any project for several years, this is in direct response to you, and to Che Chen, Kamau Patton, Lawrence Abu Hamden, and A.K. Burns. You have asked something with your work that I could not think through outside of time and space. Perhaps not even there; how marvelous.

Jodi Waynberg has been a tremendously flexible and supportive institutional partner. Artists Alliance Inc and the Cuchifritos Gallery Curatorial Committee. Patricia Perkins, for her patience with disappearing databases. Chris Dominick and Em Rooney for their labor. Virginia Solomon, Georgia and Kerry Downey, for their hospitality. I am in debt to my assistant, Natasha Hoskins. This project would simply not have happened without her.

The framework for "Threshing Floors" came out a conversation between myself, Kerry Downey, and Bill Dietz on the lawn of Bard College and on a brick back porch waiting out a rainstorm during the summer of 2013. Thank you, then and now.
